Meskipun masih meriah dengan sambutan Hari Raya Aidilfitri, pelumba dan pasukan yang beraksi dalam Kejuaraan Cub Prix AAM Malaysia PETRONAS kembali tampil membuat persediaan rapi setelah penganjur kejuaraan mengumumkan di mana Kangar, Perlis bakal menjadi venue bagi pusingan keenam yang akan berlangsung pada 15 dan 16 Ogos depan.
Pada asalnya negeri utara tanah air itu dijadualkan sebagai lokasi bagi pusingan kelapan kejuaraan namun akan digantikan dengan venue baharu yang akan diumumkan sedikit masa lagi.
Sama seperti musim lepas, perlumbaan akan berlangsung di Stadium Syed Putra yang menyaksikan kategori CP130 menjadi milik juara musim 2014, Mohd Zaqhwan Zaidi.
Berbaki lima pusingan lagi, Ahmad Fazrul Sham kini mendahului kategori perdana CP130 dengan 70 mata termasuk dua kemenangan berturut-turut yang diraih oleh pelumba Yamalube AHM itu. Fazli diekori rapat oleh abangnya, Ahmad Fazli Sham (PETRONAS Yamaha Maju Motor) yang sekadar ketinggalan enam mata di belakang.
Sementara itu, kelas CP115 dikuasai oleh Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin dengan 95 mata sambil diekori Tengku Amirul Haffiruddin (Motul Yamaha YY Pang) dengan 86 mata manakala Ahmad Syukran Aizat (PETRONAS Yamaha CKJ) ketiga, 49 mata.
KANGAR TO HOST ROUND 6
After a hard-earned Ramadan and Aidilfitri break, it is time for teams and riders to get back into the groove as the PETRONAS AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship organizers announced Kangar, Perlis will host Round 6 this 15 and 16 August.
Originally, the Northern state was slated to host Round 8 in October but was brought forward by the organizer to accomodate for a new venue, which will be revealed soon.
The upcoming race is set to be held at Stadium Syed Putra where reigning CP130 Champion, Zaqhwan Zaidi won last year.
With five rounds to go, Ahmad Fazrul Sham currently leads the CP130 standings having picked up two consecutive wins. The Yamalube AHM rider currently leads the standings with 70 points, 6 points ahead of his older brother, Ahmad Fazli Sham (PETRONAS Yamaha Maju Motor).
Meanwhile, Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin continues his domination in the CP115 category, leading the intermediate class standings with 95 points ahead of Tengku Amirul Haffiruddin (Motul Yamaha YY Pang) with 86 points and Ahmad Syukran Aizat (PETRONAS Yamaha CKJ) 49 points.
