JAWATANKUASA Penganjur Malaysia (MASOC) Kuala Lumpur 2017 menerima suntikan penajaan dari syarikat eletronik ternama, Sony Malaysia Sdn Bhd yang menyertai keluarga KL 2017 sebagai “Kamera Rasmi KL2017”.
Buat julung kalinya, Sony terbabit dalam industri sukan tanahair dengan menyertai KL2017 sebagai penaja Emas dengan sumbangan antara RM3 juta sehingga RM7.5 juta.
Di bawah tajaan berkenaan, SONY menyediakan antara 30 hingga 50 buah kamera model a9sebagai kamera rasmi temasya bagi kegunaan jurugambar rasmi sepanjang KL2017.
Perjanjian tajaan yang berlangsung pada Jumaat (4 Ogos 2017) itu ditandatangani Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif MASOC, Dato’ Seri Zolkples Embong dan Pengarah Urusan Sony Malaysia, Satoru Ara dengan disaksikan Timbalan Menteri Belia dan Sukan, Datuk M. Saravanan pada Jumaat (4 Julai 2017).
Turut hadir, Ketua Pegawai Operasi MASOC En. Shaiful Subhan Zahrin dan Pengurus Besar Sony Malaysia, Hideyuki Wada.
Berucap pada majlis tersebut, Saravanan berkata: “Saya berasa gembira di atas keputusan Sony menyertai keluarga KL2017 dan mengambil peluang pemasaran yang luas melalui penajaan KL2017. Saya percaya langkah ini akan meningkatkan lagi jenama Sony di pasaran,” kata beliau.
Sony a9 merupakan kamera “full-frame mirrorless” dengan kelajuan pemprosesan 20 kali lebih laju yang mampu merakam sehingga 241 gambar jenis RAW dengan frame penuh pada 20 frame sesaat.
“Saya berharap penajaan SONY ini dapat membantu merakam detik-detik yang bersejarah dan menarik sepanjang KL2017,” kata beliau sambil menambah kata, penajaan berkenaan antara strategi Sony mendekati kumpulan pengguna baru di kalangan peminat sukan KL2017 terhadap kamera Sony a9.

SONY (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is the latest to join the gold medal family as sponsors for the SEA Games Kuala Lumpur 2017.
Making its debut in the local sports scene, Sony Malaysia inked the deal as Gold ?Sponsor with the Malaysia Organising Committee (MASOC) Kuala Lumpur 2017 on Friday (4 Aug 2017), earning them the rights as “Official Camera of the KL2017”.
One of the leading distributors of high quality electronic products around the world, Sony’s sponsorship commitment include providing between 30 to 50 Sony a9 cameras for the Games official photographers covering the biennial Games scheduled from Aug 19-30.
Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Seri Zolkples Embong signed on behalf of MASOC while Sony Malaysia was represented by its Managing Director, Satoru Arai. Also present were MASOC Chief Operating Officer Operating En Shaiful Subhan and Sony Malaysia General Manager, Hideyuki Wada.
Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Datuk M. Saravanan witnessed the brief signing ceremony said: “Sony Malaysia’s sponsorship in cash and kind will help generate immense marketing value for the Games. We are grateful to Sony Malaysia for coming on board in promoting this biennial Games.”
“This is indeed a milestone for Sony…MASOC is confident in the capability of the Sony a9 to deliver only the best in photography during the Games,” said Datuk M Saravanan, adding that the sponsorship is also Sony’s strategic approach to capture potential customers among the KL2017 fans especially for the Sony a9 camera.
MASOC has surpassed its sponsorship target of RM80 million for the Games, securing more than RM100 million in both cash and kind sponsorship.
