After a wheel-perfect performance earlier this month during the championship’s debut at the Penbay International Circuit in Chinese Taipei, Cebu Pacific Air by KCMG driver Martin Rump leads the Formula Masters China Series Driver Classification by 21 points over Jake Parsons of Meritus.GP. At the 2015 season mid-point, Rump’s team mate Nicholas Rowe is third overall, with Eurasia Motorsport driver Aidan Read fourth and Meritus.GP driver Daniel Woodroof fifth.
However, with nine races remaining before the season is done, look for some hard-fought battles as the series travels to Malaysia, Zhuhai and Shanghai for the final three, thrilling weekends ahead. Next up is the KL City Grand Prix, a brand new street circuit in downtown Kuala Lumpur!
“I think the Kuala Lumpur street race will be the most exciting round on the calendar as it’s a new circuit layout, and street circuits always have their unique challenges,” Parsons said. “We haven’t seen the circuit before so learning it as quickly as possible and tuning the car set-up will be a challenge and of course managing the walls and keeping up the corner speed will be essential.”
