SABAH’s Christian Didier Chin picked up two titles at the Terengganu ITF.
Christian, Sabah’s most promising future champion, struck two titles at the Terengganu ITF tennis championship yesterday when he won the singles and doubles titles.
This is his second ITF singles title and his fifth doubles title with different partners.
“The single and double wins really means a lot to me as I will break into the top 200 in the ITF World Junior Ranking,” said Christian.
“I want to everyone who supported me – my coaches , ball boys ,referees, tournament directors and especially my father Chris who is always behind me and believe in me. I am looking forward to the next ITF Tournament in India, Pune.”
In the semi-finals, Christian beat Dhamirul Shahril 6-2, 6-3, while in the final Christian downed Japanese Shinhuke Mitsui also in straight sets.
In the doubles final, Christian partnered Indian Karan Srivastava to beat Taiwan pair of Chen Yu Fen/Lin Han Chin 6-2, 6-3.
