The Malaysian national team suffered a second-half heartbreak in Auckland when New Zealand put four past them at the North Harbour Stadium.

With the visiting Malaysian side putting up a dogged defence in the first half, New Zealand then turned on the power after the break for Elijah Just to grab the opener in the 53rd minute.

Matthew Garbett then added the second in the 61st minute to be followed by goals from Chris Wood (72nd) and Logan Rogerson (90th).
