The Singapore Under-19 team has chalked up two friendlies against Bahrain this week as they gear up for the AFF U19 Championship next month.
Singapore will play the Bahrain U19 team in two matches – 31 August and 3 September – at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium.
The Singapore U19 team is under head coach Takuya Inoue.
“The U19 will benefit as they are preparing for September’s AFF U19 Championship in Hanoi. We are happy to be able to play matches like these, and will work hard to do well in them. We hope to have the opportunity to play more of such matches as it will only help the development of our young footballers,” said Richard Tardy, the head coach of Singapore’s National Youth Teams.
