Siti Zulaikha Azmi landed her first international crown in style when she dumped China’s Luo Heng Xuan for the Women’s Singles crown PETRONAS Malaysia International Series 2024 here in Johor.
The 18-year-old from Melaka showed that she could be Malaysia’s next big star with a straight set 21-13, 21-16 victory that took just 36 minutes to wrap up
Malaysia’s hope for another crown was dashed in the Women’s Doubles when the second seeded pair of Cheng Su Hui-Lee Xin Jie fell 13-21, 18-21 to Lin Fang Ling-Zhou Xin Ru from China in the final.
