Roger Reijners, the head coach of the Myanmar womenâs football team, said that his chargers can only get better after succumbing to a 5-0 beating in a friendly against the South Korean women.
The team under the newly recruited Dutchman is being moulded for the AFF Womenâs Championship at the end of July.
âThis is a valuable opportunity for our team to compete against the South Korean side,â said Reijners.
âWe canât match our opponents (in this game) but there are many benefits to be had from competiting at this higher level,â he added.
âWe can compete on good terms with ASEANâs best teams â Vietnam and Thailand â and weâll try hard to deliver a good result in the upcoming championship.â
