HRH Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah has been elected as the new president of the FA of Malaysia (FAM) for the session 2014-2018, following the 50th Congress of the national body this morning. In a three way fight which saw incumbent HRH Sultan Ahmad Shah – who is also the president of the Asean Football Federation (AFF) – withdrawing just prior to the start of voting, the fight was down to Tengku Abdullah and HRH Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim of Johor.
