Defending Champions UiTM secured their second successive victory edged KJLJD 2-0 in a tightly fought match played under wet conditions. UiTM’s Muhammad Ashraf Zulzani pounced on a loose ball in the KJLJD circle to give him team the early lead on the 15th min.
KJLJD came back strongly pinning UiTM in their half and had a shout for goal when Mohd Szuhairi penalty corner set piece has the keeper well beaten but Umpire Mohd Shahril ruled the bal had not crossed the line when the UiTM defence cleared it.
On the 41st Minute Umpire Mohd Shahril was in the spotlight as he awarded a penalty stoke to UiTM after the ball has hit the KJLJD defender’s leg on the goal line. National Team Trainee Muhammad Noor Faeez duly converted stoke to double UiTM lead.
The match was abandon on the 48th minute due to bad weather and lightning and the result stood since 35 minutes had been played. RAMD defeated Dolphins 4-3 to keep their place at the top of the table while BJSS kept pace leaders as they beat OLAK-PKT 6-3.
In another Division 1 match, National Team Skipper Muhd Razie Abdul Rahim powered X-Matrix to a 5-3 victory in a see-saw battle with MBPJ SUKMA. X-Maxtrix still unbeaten was stretch by the MBPJ SUKMA as the score remain tied 3-3 with 10 minutes to go. Razie’s two assist in the 63rd and 68th min ensure his times secured the 3 points.
In Div 2
Group A leader PAUiTM & X-Hamzah continue their winning ways with big margin victories over their opponents while in Group B Permatang Senior continue to lead the table as they beat Synergy Hockey Club 7-1. Fellow contenders Selangor Sikh dropped points as they were held to a 2-2 draw with Selangor Hockey Club.
