Fiery Italian striker Mario Balotelli’s unhappy spell at English Premier League side Liverpool is over with manager Jurgen Klopp saying Wednesday he should find a new team.
Balotelli, 25, scored only four times for Liverpool since Klopp’s predecessor Brendan Rodgers bought him from Manchester City in 2014 and was loaned out to AC Milan last term.
He wasn’t any more productive there either netting just three times in 23 appearances — missing out on the Euro 2016 squad — and was sent back to Liverpool where the squad is undergoing pre-season training.
“He’s (Balotelli) not at the stage of his career where he should be battling with four or five players for one or two positions,” said Klopp.
“So it’s clear we need a solution. There will be a club who would be happy to have the new Mario Balotelli.” – Agence France-Presse
