A 2-1 win over Son La failed to improve the standings for TNG Thai Nguyan as they still remained in mid-table of the National Women’s Football Championship – Thai Son Bac Cup.
In the match that was played at the Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Son La grabbed the opener with a 37th minute rifling shot from Le Hong Van.
Incidentally, it was Son La first goal of the season.
But Thai Nguyen came back into the second half with their first goal of the game in the 77th minute through Nguyen Th? Nga as Nguyen Huong Giang then scored the winner eight minutes later.
The win saw Thai Nguyen remained on fifth with seven points while Son La remained at the bottom of the standings with just one point from seven matches.
Hanoi lead the table with 17 points with Vietnam Coal and Mineral on second and Phong Phu Ha Nam third.
