The United Arab Emirates have taken Iraq’s place in Group C of the 2018 Asian Games Indonesia men’s football tournament.

A re-draw was conducted by the Asian Football Confederation this afternoon on behalf of the Olympic Council of Asia and Indonesiaā€™s Local Organising Committee following Iraq’s withdrawal from the tournament.

UAE are now grouped alongside China PR, Timor-Leste and Syria in Group C, reducing Group E to four teams – Korea Republic, Kyrgyz Republic, Malaysia and Bahrain.

The men’s football tournament is set to take place on 10 August to 1 September in Jakarta.
