France’s Fiji-born back Virimi Vakatawa will miss the June tour to New Zealand after lining up a post-season operation on his groin, his Racing 92 club said on Monday.
The 25-year-old former sevens specialist, who has won 17 caps for his adopted country in the 15-man code and last played in this season’s Six Nations tournament, will resume training in mid-August.
Vakatawa will also be unavailable for selection for the July 20-22 Rugby World Cup Sevens in San Francisco. – Agence France-Presse
