The Vietnam Under-19 team will battle the U18 team of Consadole Sapporo for the KBZ Bank U19 Cup tomorrow after they each emerged as the first and second team after the round robin of matches.
In the last game in the group, Vietnam drew Consadole Sapporo 1-1 after Tomoya Shimoda’s goal was cancelled out by Vietnam’s Tran Thanh.
The win allowed Vietnam to top the standing with five points while Consadole finished second with four points – the same as Myanmar although the latter had better goal difference.
In the second match of the evening, hosts Myanmar beat Thailand 1-0 to hand the AFF U19 champions their second loss of the tournament.
