The Vietnam Futsal team fell to a 7-0 loss to Japan in a friendly that was played yesterday in Kariya.
The Vietnamese, who had beaten the same Japanese side in the AFC Futsal Championship two months earlier, just did not have the same gusto as they fell behind by three goals inside the first three minutes alone.
The Japanese found the target through Shibano Sota, Nibuya Kazuhiro and Shimizu Kazuya.
Even a pep talk at the break failed to ignite a fight back as the hosts then added four more goals in the second half.
The friendly against Japan is part of Vietnam’s preparation for the FIFA World Cup in Colombia in September.
Vietnam’s next friendly will be against Uzbekistan.
