New multi-year global partnership represents Mitsubishi Electric’s commitment to supporting and growing women’s rugby globally and provides learning opportunities for women in rugby through a unique digital series focused on career development.
World Rugby and Mitsubishi Electric, one of the world’s leading names in the manufacture and sales of electrical and electronic products and systems, today announced a multi-year global partnership establishing Mitsubishi Electric as an Official Partner of women’s rugby, Rugby World Cup 2025 and World Rugby’s new global women’s 15s tournament, WXV.
As part of the partnership agreement, Mitsubishi Electric will become the Official Heating and Cooling Partner of WXV for 2023 and 2024. Launching this week, WXV – World Rugby’s new, three-level annual global competition will transform the women’s international rugby landscape, providing for the first time a meaningful pathway for all unions and a competitive springboard towards an expanded Rugby World Cup in 2025.
Mitsubishi Electric has also been confirmed as an Official Partner of the women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 which recently announced the eight cities and venues that will host the tournament across the length and breadth of England. Celebrating its 10th edition, RWC 2025 is set to be a major attraction in the global sporting calendar reaching new audiences and converting new fans around the world.

The electronics giant will become an Official Partner of World Rugby’s Women’s Rugby Summit which will be held alongside RWC 2025 in England.
As part of their commitment to growing women’s rugby and supporting opportunities for female development in the workplace, Mitsubishi Electric and World Rugby will launch a series of engaging digital videos utilising Mitsubishi Electric’s expertise to collaborate with talent from the world of rugby to highlight obstacles for women in the workplace and provide practical advice on ways to navigate them. Using the knowledge and personal experience of figures including former and current female athletes, and executives from both Mitsubishi Electric and World Rugby, the series, hosted on World Rugby’s LinkedIn page, will support learning for women in pivotal moments of their career and provide transparency when discussing common challenges faced in the workplace.
